If family members help each other, the whole family helps. The relationships of relatives are connected like this to each other. Therefore, a stranger close by is originated from his family's family's family's (......) family's family's family. So, it is the same thing to have a good relationship with relatives and to ask help for a stranger. So, the meaning of the saying is everybody should help each other. I guess it's more like a motto.

腹を立てたあまりの発作的な悪事は、いつもたいてい練られておらず、すぐにつかまってしまうからな。そうなると、余生を美味しいもののない場所で過ごさなくてはならなくなる。犯罪をなす前に好きな食べ物を食べておくと思い残すことが減り、精神衛生にも良いのだ。オトナもよく間違えているようだが、ブチ切れたときにはご飯を食べて一呼吸置き、冷静になるべきという意味ではないぞ。		 January 8
