今日は５月１日、濡れた布の日。
雨の中に放置されている濡れぞうきんのような気分というのは、空しく悲しいことの象徴だな・・・・・・・。他にもいろいろ、生まれなくてよかったというものはあるな・・・・・・。ちびた鉛筆とかガラスの破片とかな。しかしこれを、逆説的に考えてみると、ガーディアンとかは我らみたいなフツーの人間に、生まれてこなくてよかったと思っているのかも知れぬ。		 Today is May 1, Wet Towel Day.
To feel like a wet towel means to feel heavier with each tear you shed. You can also take it as regret of being born in this world. If you take the opposite view, though, things like guardians and monsters are probably happy they weren't born as humans.
５月２日、今日は箱庭の日。
わたしのおじいちゃんは箱庭を作るのが、趣味だった。道具が可愛らしいので、わたしも彼の箱庭はお気に入りだった。ある日、今度は何を入れるの？と聞いたら、わしの庭を埋めるパーツの名前は、全て【孤独】とか言われて、反応に困った。		 Today is May 2, Miniature Garden Day.
My grandpa loved to make miniature gardens. I liked his gardens because the parts he used were so cute. When I asked him what he's putting into the garden next, he said all the parts that go into his garden are called loners........ Needles to say, I had trouble responding to that.
５月３日、執事の日〜。
執事とは家に在り、庶務をとりおこなってくれる、便利なお人だ。しかも・・・・・・・夜に眠れないときの役にも立つ。執事が１匹執事が２匹、執事が３匹・・・・・・とな。		 Today is May 3, Butler Day.

５月４日、今日はアンゴルモアの日〜。
まおうアンゴルモアは、日々時代に取り残される自分を感じていた。それゆえ彼は一念発起し、自分はポップでキャッチーだ、というイメージを人に与えようとした。新しい音楽を聞いたり、ナウでヤングなモンスターと酒を飲んだりもした。しかし、その結果は・・・・・・・。		 Today is May 4, Angolmois Day.

５月５日、今日は子供の日〜。
物を買ってもらえたり、どっかに連れていかれたり、子供はとにかく得をする一日だ。・・・・・・昨日おかあさんが、お前はもうオトナだよね、って言ったのは、今日何もしてもらえない伏線だったのかな・・・・・・・。		 Today is May 5, Children's Day.
Children get to got to amusement parks and get lots of gifts today. Maybe that's why Mother told me I'm already a grown-up now........
５月６日、今日はバタークリームの日〜。
古びたバタークリームの毒々しい色は、電波を吸い込んで毒電波として放出している証だそうだ。質の悪いバタークリームを食べると、胸焼けがするのもそのせいらしい。わたしはあの、もったりとした口触りが好きだからザンネンといえば残念だなぁ。		 Today is May 6, Buttercream Day.
The venomous color of old buttercream is said to be proof of it taking in radio waves and releasing toxic waves. Maybe that's why I get heartburn when I eat cheap buttercream. I sort of liked that gooey taste, but too bad.

自分が学んだことを、遺伝子に刻み込んで次世代に送れれば便利なのにな・・・・・・・。そしたら記念日暗記を二世代に渡ってできるからな。それにほら、明日やれることは、明日にしようってよくいいますでしょう？		 Today is May 7,Gene Day.

５月８日、今日は石畳の日〜。
わたしがまだ幼かった頃、この日を記念して石畳の端っこで、思いっきりジャンプしたのだ。そしたら石畳が跳ね上がって、わたしの顔にブチ当たった。そのままわたしは、これがファーストチスとはついてないと思いながら、押し倒されるように昏倒した。		 Today is May 8, Pavement Day.

とある廃屋で、巨大なモンスターと出会い、窓際に追いつめられた女渡り鳥ジェーン！しかし、もう弾丸はない！追いつめられた彼女は、苦し紛れにテーブルにあった小さなナイフで破れた窓ガラスを引っかいた。その嫌らしい音は、モンスターの鼓膜を散々に傷つけたという。決してあきらめない心、それが一番大事なのだ。		 Today is May 10, Glass Day.
At the ruins, the Drifter Jane was cornered to the window by a gigantic insect monster! To make things worse, she was out of bullets! Out of desperation, she took the small knife on the table and scratched the glass on the window. The nasty screech hurt the beast's eardrums so bad that Jane went onto defeat it. The motto of the story is to never give up.

今日は、ゴー！イイ！の日・・・・・・即ち快感の日だったが、文化的でないとのことで一昨年海関の日に改められた。行政はまったく、無粋なことをするものだな・・・・・・・・・。		 Today is May 11, Leisure Day.

５月１２日、今日はボーダーシャツの日〜。
牛泥棒に入られた大牧場。逃げる泥棒を柵越しに見ていた牧童が二人。しかし二人に証言させたところ・・・・・牧童Ａは『犯人は赤シャツ』といい、牧童Ｂは『犯人は白シャツ』と主張した。そして、どちらも一歩も譲らなかった。二人とも正直者で通っていたため、村の人も首をひねったが捕まった泥棒を見て、皆納得した。泥棒は赤と白のボーダーシャツを着ていたのだ。だから牧童Ａから見ると、白縞が柵に隠れて見えず、牧童Ｂが見ると赤縞が柵に隠れていた、というわけ。		 Today is May 12, Striped Shirt Day.
A cow thief shuck into a farm. Two cowboys saw the thief run away from behind the fence. But when they were asked to testify : Cowboy 'A' said 'The thief wore red'. Cowboy 'B' said 'The thief wore white.' Both stood firm to their testimony. Since both of them were considered honest among the villagers, it puzzled everyone until they caught the thief. The thief wore a white and red striped shirt, making him look red to cowboy 'A' and white to cowboy 'B' when viewed from behind the fence.
５月１３日、今日は砂埃の日〜。
砂埃は、掃いても掃いても侵入してくる。そのガッツを見習う日だ。というわけでわたしも今日は、負けないくらいのガッツをもって、砂埃を掃き出そうと思う。		 Today is May 13, Sand Day.

上空から見ると、ひとがゴミのように見えるから人ごみだと思っていたが、込んでいるから人ごみなのだな・・・・・・・。しかし、いきなり『ゴミ』と出てくる自分の思考回路もかなりなんだといわざるを得ないものであるな。この否定否定肯定という、うじゃけた言い方に、わたしのとまどいを感じてほしい・・・・・・。		 Today is May 17, Crowd Day.

緑の目を持つ少女がいた。彼女の特技は、瞳で光合成ができること。しかし瞳で光合成が出来ても、酸素の送り先は肺に繋がっていないため、涙がシャボン玉みたいに溢れるだけだったそうだ。		 Today is May 18, Green Day.

５月２０日、今日は集合住宅の日〜。
集合住宅は大変なことが多いな。ゴミ出し一つにせよ、様々な作法が存在する。それらを厳粛な気持ちで受け止め、心を新たにルールを守る決意をする・・・・・・。管理社会の到来は、すぐそこにある気になる日だな。		 Today is May 20, Housing Complex Day.

There was once a Drifter who travelled with a rat. While exploring a cavern, he was trapped and couldn't get out.
